I have studied at the Warsaw Music Academy, in Tadeusz Wronski’s violin class and Stanislaw Wislocki’s symphony-opera conductor class. I have further perfected my skills with Franco Ferrara in Sienna (Italy) and Rafael Kubelik in Lucerne (Switzerland)
I took part in Conductor Competitions such as:
- Copenhagen (N. Malko competition; 3rd prize)
- Katowice (G. Fitelberg competition; 5th prize)
- Vienna (1984, H. Swarowski competition; 3rd prize)
Between 1975 and 1980 I’ve worked with the Radio Orchestra in Warsaw and then – as concertmaster and conductor – with the Symphony-Opera Orchestra in Aachen (Germany). In 1985-88 I was a permanent conductor at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen. During the 1989/90 season I held the role of Artistic Director at the National Opera in Wrocław.

In the years 1992-95 I was a regular guest conductor at the Poznań Opera, where I have prepared and led premiers, including Verdi’s “Aida”, Puccini’s “La Bohème”, Stravinsky's “The Rite of Spring” or Bartók’s “The Miraculous Mandarin”.
From 2012 I’ve recommenced work with the Grand Theatre in Poznań, where I conduct operas: “The Marriage of Figaro”, “The Barber of Seville”, “Don Giovanni”, “La traviata” and “Tosca”.
In the years 1989-2017 – I was a permanent conductor at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. It was here that I’ve prepared and musically managed many operas by Mozart, Rossini or Donizetti. I musically coproduce the annual Mozart Festival in Warsaw, since its beginning in 1991. Since 2017 - I'm permanent conductor ast the Polish Royal Opera.
I have had guest appearances in many European countries (e.g. Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia and Scandinavian countries), Japan, USA and Israel. From 1998 I was engaged as a guest conductor with Turkey’s Presidential Symphony Orchestra and the National Opera Theatre in Ankara. The year 1999 brought on cooperation with the Latvian National Opera, which exists to this day. At the LNO in Riga I’ve musically managed Mozart’s opera premiers: “Don Giovanni”, ”Cosi fan tutte”, “The Marriage of Figaro”, and “The Magic Flute”. In Riga I also perform with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the chamber orchestra "Sinfonietta Riga".
In Poland I perform with many symphony orchestras: Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, philharmonics in Poznań, Łódź, Kraków, Gdańsk, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, Rzeszów, Białystok, Opole, with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw or Polish Chamber Orchestra - Sinfonia Varsovia.
In my achievements I possess many archival recordings and albums (my portfolio).
